• POTOMAC PERGOLA PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE POSTS: All pergolas will need three support post if attached and six if freestanding. • Maximum beam span between posts is 10'. Maximum beam cantilever is 2'. • For attached models the support posts can be mounted to the surface of the deck or patio using post brackets. For freestanding models, the support posts should be set 30" or more into the ground for patios and mounted securely to framing when it is added to a deck. • Projection measurements include the 2 x 6 decorative ends which add approximately 9" to attached models and 18” to freestanding models. Widths include the 2 x 8 decorative ends; the 2 x 8’s supplied for the beam will be 2’ shorter than the stated width. • Pergolas with a 12’ or 16’ projection must have a locally obtained 2x6/2 x 8 pressure treated board inserted into the rafters and beams. • Prices include hardware required for pergola assembly. For attached pergolas, a 2 x 6 sleeve is included as a band board. A pressure treated 2 x 6 must be inserted into the band board for support. No hardware for post attachment to deck or patio is included. • Pergolas are available in white only. • Stringers are equal to the width of the pergola. Stringers are spliced on all models. • 30’ models will have spliced beams and will include vinyl keystones to hide the seams. • Pergolas are not designed to support swings, hanging chairs, or other heavy objects.
