NEW!
The Williamsburg
Our first fiberglass pergola kit is a tremendous value. The pergola
design is new, but the technology has decades of highly successful
experience. This is a very strong and very adaptable structure. You
owe it to yourself to consider The Williamsburg pergola for your
project.
Like all of our kits, The Williamsburg comes complete
with all the required hardware and easy to follow step-by-step
illustrated instructions. Although fiberglass is stronger than steel, pound for
pound, you will find all of the components surprisingly light and
easy to handle. |
Product Description
The Williamsburg can be designed to meet your needs.
The Williamsburg is similar to our Potomac vinyl pergola. It has a
double 2 x 8
(1 7/8" x 7 1/2" actual) beam. The rafters are
also 2 x 8 and spaced approximately 24" on center. The
stringers are a generous 1 5/8" x 2" and are spaced
approximately 12" on
center. (Spacing of rafters and stringers varies with the size of
the structure so that spacing is even.) You have a choice of
beautifully detailed round
or square columns. This a very impressive structure. This is also a highly customizable pergola. Rafter
and stringer spacing can be design to meet your needs and taste. We
can tailor the kit to your exact size - down to the inch! If cost is
an issue, we can eliminate one of the beams for many structures.
Call us, there's plenty of flexibility in the design criteria.
Don't like our standard pergola end, shown on the upper right,
design your own for a slight additional charge. See the price notes
for fee and restrictions.
There are two very special characteristics about these pergolas
that may be very important to you: Color and Strength.
|

Our standard pergola end is shown at
top. Custom ends such as those shown in the lower photo are available for
a low set-up fee. |

Color
At last a low maintenance pergola kit that can match your color
scheme.
Fiberglass
pergolas and columns should be painted. We can hear you clicking to
the vinyl pergola pages now. You want "maintenance free". Well, don't
leave so fast. The two things that are most responsible for paint
failure are moisture and sun light. Fiberglass does not absorb
moisture, so paint will adhere much longer. This, in effect, more than
doubles the life of the paint. So with a good quality paint you may
go 10 to 15 years or longer before recoating. That's the good news.
Now for the great news. The Williamsburg Fiberglass
Pergola allows you to match your house trim color exactly. Or any
other color that you want to match as long as it is a color. Now you
can have the look and adaptability of wood without all of the
maintenance issues of wood. |
Strength
The strongest pergola kit on the market, it will provide you with a
lifetime of enjoyment.
Another major advantage of fiberglass is its incredible strength.
Without metal or wood inserts, our double beam will span 22 feet!
Our rafters will span 18 feet plus a 2' cantilever.
That means that you can have a freestanding pergola with an overall
size of 22' x 26' with just four columns! Now you can have a
structure this large and not be concerned about columns getting in
the way of the view or furnishings. No other kit offers this kind of
design freedom.
